Overview
The “ 16 / 26 “ project is financed by the Grundtvig 2/Socrates
Programme of the European Commission.
The project is addressed towards people at the age 16-26, who
have not finished their education because of different reasons and who want
to continue it.
The project duration is 36 months.
The main aims of the project are:
- Creation of European net for the exchange of education methodologies and good
practices for the integration of the youngsters in Europe.
· Improving the chances for social insertion and professional integration
of the young people at the age 16-26.
· Intercultural education
· European citizenship
Each project partner offers to the other partners the possibility to get acquainted
with at least one alternative kind of education, which has proved to be successful
in his own country or organization. The partners organize visits in each project
country in order to get acquainted with these good practices on spot. They altogether
analyze the techniques for education and the new technologies, which are used.
During the second project year it is foreseen to be organized learners’
exchange visits. During these visits is expected the participants to exchange
wide information and good practices, with the corresponding comments. Seminars
will be organized with video and photo materials. In the process of these studies
the foreign language qualification of the participants will be improved and
their motivation to study foreign languages and ITC will be increased.
This project will help for the adaptation of the different methodologies and the creation of new types of vocational education in the partners’ countries.
Partners
The organizations co-operating in “16/26” Project are as follows:
· DIA-SPORT Association, Sofia, Bulgaria
· Lycee Jacquard, Caudry/Nord, France
· Insertion Mission of Cambresis – France
They offer new methods of education different from the traditional ones, aimed
at the social and professional insertion of the groups at risk and the dropped
out.
· Centro de Education de Adultos”Conde
de Aranda”, Aranda de Duero/Burgos, Spain
They offer secondary education for adults with the receipt of a diploma. The
organisation offers several branches of education: communication, mathematical
and social sciences.
· Universidad popular para la education y cultura
de Burgos , Spain
They offer secondary education and ODL for adults.
· INIMA DE COPIL Foundation, Galati, Romania
The foundation offers a school teaching: alphabetisation – school reintegration
– professional orientation for the youngsters outside of the school education
system or being at risk of abandonment. The foundation performs also cultural
activities, games, a module young conciliation-family-school, state services
for the social reintegration of the young beneficiaries.
Background
Final beneficiaries of the project 16/26 are groups of young people at risk
at the age 16-26. The aim of the project is to create conditions for their integration
in the process of education /on different levels/ and to ensure the possibility
for their professional qualification and integration. The final purpose of the
project is these groups at risk to be socialized and integrated on the labor
market.
Over a 3-year period the following activities will be developed:

new methods of education in each project partners’ institution/country
and the establishment of new practices.
The project will help for the adaptation of the different methodologies and
the creation of new types of vocational education in the partners’ countries.
Results
During the first year of the project
in the partners’ countries were realized different initiatives, addressed
to the social integration of the young people. Thanks to the work on this project
these local initiatives were enriched with the experience of the project-partners.
The work on this GRUNDTVIG2 project has a positive effect on the partners’
institutions thanks to the European measurements in the work process.
As a result of the work carried out during the first project year 4 numbers of the project bulletin were published. In addition to these publications a promotional CD was produced. All the results achieved as well as the project activities will be widely promoted and disseminated through the specially created project web-site. | ![]() |
